A Galileo Thermometer is a sealed glass column containing multiple liquid-filled orbs. As the temperature changes, these orbs rise and fall to indicate the current ambient temperature (within the range of 60˚F - 96˚F). Under normal conditions, the orbs will separate into two groupings. To read the thermometer, you must observe the lowest orb within the top group. The temperature imprinted on the tag of that lower orb will be the current temperature of the liquid (within 2˚F accuracy).

Our hanging Galileo thermometer features colored glass instead of colored liquid inside clear glass (which fades under direct sunlight). This means our Blue, Amber and Clear orbs will never fade, while the competitions will! Also, our model includes a metal hanging bracket for free! All our Galileo Thermometers feature a classic design with fade-free colored glass orbs, and 10 spheres rise and fall within a 16" glass column to indicate the current ambient temperature. The metal hanging frame surrounds the glass column, allowing it to be safely displayed both indoors and outdoors. The decorative hanging bracket and mounting kit are included for easy installation.
